About Brisbane in 28 Worldcon Bid

We're bidding to bring Worldcon (the World Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention) to Meanjin Brisbane, Australia.

Our proposed dates are 27-31 July in 2028 – timed to coincide with a full solar eclipse over Australia on 22 July, so that international attendees can have an extra-special Worldcon experience.

Our programming will centre and highlight local creators and fans from Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
