About 17 Patterns

I love mathematics, especially when it becomes something you can see.
I’m fascinated by patterns and symmetry, particularly the 17 wallpaper groups — the complete set of planar symmetry types. I love the beauty of "The Magic Theorem" in Conway's "The Symmetries of Things" which proves the 17 groups.
I've created software which generates random patterns using carefully chosen rules and then I select my favourites to post - about 1 or 2 each day. Enjoy.
